Darin blinked, alittle in surprise as her lips touched his once more, her fingers in his hair. With how she had acted, he would have half expected her to slap him or something, but in his heart he knew she wouldn't. He closed his eyes and an arm wrapped around her waist, pulling her closer slowly as his lips pressed better against her, gently licking her lip in a beg and plead for entrance and union with her heart. His hand kept cupping her cheek, gently caressing it with a thumb.. a moment he had dreamed of so many times ago.

It was the perfect moment.
Her heart was racing and she felt a similar response from the heart beating within Tarik's chest. Her hands in his hair pulled it a little, but just to bring herself closer to him. Tarik's mouth was hot and his arm around her couldn't hold her close enough. A slight groan let her lips and she pulled away, resting her forehead against Tarik's chest as she caught her breath. She was panting, as if she had just sprinted for miles and miles, but she had only just kissed him. He had truly taken her breath away.
Coursing through her veins was something she had never felt before; love? Truly, could it have been so simple all along? Just to kiss Azetipin, was that all she had needed, though her years of a loveless life? Kissing Tarik's chest once, Thirteen pulled herself away to meet his eyes. For some reason, there were tears in hers... he reminded her, in some strange way, of her mother; he was that delicate balance of power and wisdom, and it was amazing that she had waited for him for so long.

Darin let out a soft moan and pouted alittle when she broke their unifying kiss. He panted softly, but caught his breath. The gentle kiss on his chest made him close his eyes with an unnoticeable shiver. When she looked up at him, her tears made him worry, but he gently kissed her forehead before his hand came up from her waist and he gently wiped her tears away. He looked at with with a warm smile before he gently kissed her eyes. He never knew how it had felt to be in this moment, but after what seemed like a millennium, he was here. it was indescribable how for the first time his dreams and hopes came true in the end, and that despite everything that had happened in the past, patience did work. He shook everything from his head, the past did not matter, what matter was this moment and the future.
"You know.. I used to dream of this moment when I would look up at the night sky, wishing on countless stars.. but I don't think I could have ever dreamed up this perfect moment right now", he said softly, warmly and lovingly.

Tarik's words were soft and the perfect ones for the moment and Sekhmet found herself nodding as well. "I always wished... but I never knew who it would be with me," she admitted. "But I am happy that it was you and no one else." Standing on her toes, Sekhmet kissed Tarik again, loving the friction of their lips. Her hands moved from his hair to his arms and finally snaked around his waist.
The grass around her legs felt again like reeds on the Nile and Thirteen was ripped back to a place she knew so well. This time, though, the picture was one of perfection as she stood there with Azetipin. The cool evening air was replaced with the hot desert air and Thirteen smiled contentedly when she realized something.
"I couldn't be at home once you left," she told Tarik, her voice quiet and raspy as she remembered. "Once you were gone, nothing felt right. It wasn't home anymore-- it was a cage that kept me from you. I tried to hate you for leaving... Your sister... my pain, my hurt, I wanted you to know what it was like. And all that time, I believed you hated me, that you had never liked me to begin with, so I wanted you to suffer as I was..." Tears welled up in Thirteen's eyes again. The emotion was slightly embarrassing, but it felt right, to share this with Tarik.
"I hate myself for hurting you as I was hurting." Thirteen meant her words; she could not believe she had inflicted so much pain on Tarik, but also knew that she couldn't remedy the problem, and only hoped Tarik would forgive her.

He smiled and kissed her back, feeling as if he had gone back with her in that moment. The feeling of her this close to him was amazing, but though her words made him forget that and listen. He knew she wasn't lying and meant every word and the mention of that previous pain made him close his eyes, but he opened them and looked at her. Her tears made his heart ache. He once more, gently wiped her tears away and kissed her eyes. He kissed her head before wrapping his arms tightly around her.
"Shh.. It is alright. You have no need to cry and I don't want you to. It doesn't matter what happened in the past, You and I are here and only have the future to look to as well. You needn't worry Thirteen, I forgave you for my sister.. long ago".

With a meek smile, Thirteen nodded at all Tarik had said. "I was a killer in Egypt and a killer against you, and yet you still forgive me... I do not think I will ever understand you..." There was a slight grin on her face and her eyes shined through the few tears left in them. Thirteen felt so different, so light and free.
I love you, she wished to say, but had not the gumption to do so. Instead, Thirteen entwined the fingers of one of her hands with Tarik's and tugged it slightly, turning to walk as well. Her other hand floated gently over the tall grass, brushing it softly and feeling to be in the perfect mood. There was still confusion in her heart, but Thirteen felt... okay with it now. She felt she had a rock on which to stand, someone strong enough to lean on.
He was enough. He was all she ever wanted.

(Eh... you see, on my side.. the cause for the war was Intaro's uncanny ability to know that there was going to be a great disaster, and Azuko didn't believe him.. And it ended up being the result.. of 13's mom's death? I dunno.. It seems alittle unlikely for something like that to start it.. No offense to you Bloodwing. Besides.. Bloodwing.. you wouldn't have been alive to start the war according to your profile. Sooo I have a better idea for you.. We should be able to finish this little segment of the plot. Because.. I think you'd enjoy creating a rift in their new found relationship. Eh.. I'm planning to have you to bring poor ickle Darin here to the brink of death.. Mainly because you felt like it and the fact that he didn't put up a fight, but kept standing made you keep going until he'd fall. i kind of been plotting him almost dying, but never figured out how.. soo yep. You get some chaos because his near death is going to be sent to his father.. and therefore starts the chain for Intaro to blame Azuko pack. It gives you something to be a blame for. lol For now.. I'm just gonna reply to Thirteen, mainly because the thread is close to finished.)
Darin chuckled lightly and shook his head. He slowly walked with her and then gently squeezed her hand as he looked at her. His mind's eye took them to Egypt, walking along the Nile like he had wished so much when they were younger. It was sad how a simple childhood fantasy could soon turn into a reality. He wished to say those words he wished so much for an eternity it seemed to say, but he figured it was not the time nor the day. Though, none the less, he knew there was change and conflict coming for them. He could smell it, even if he did not know in what form and hoped it would be for the good. It didn't matter right now, what mattered was the fact that this was a peaceful and perfect moment. He didn't know what tomorrow would bring, but he needed this moment to look back on.
"Let's talk of something that doesn't involve the future or the past, just right now.. Thirteen, are you glad you came out to this peaceful spot? It is quite beautiful in my opinion, almost as much as you", he said softly, trying his best to be smooth even though he didn't know what to say.

Thirteen smiled at Tarik's words and nodded. "Yes, I am extremely glad I came out here. If I had not, we would not have..." She smiled and trailed off, applying a bit more pressure to Tarik's hand. "Should we sit? We can hide among the grass for a spell. The night is nice." She had wanted to add how hiding would be so much like when they were young, when they hid among the reeds... but Tarik had said to not speak of the past, so Thirteen was trying not to.
A strange scent caught her attention for a moment, but Thirteen knew that there were many strange scents around here. Thankfully, though, this was a place of peace, so anyone else out in the area would most likely want the same thing Thirteen and Tarik had come here for: peace and quiet.
Not waiting for Tarik to reply, Thirteen sank gracefully into the soft grass. The grass folded around her, welcoming her like an old friend, and she was slightly hidden, though she could still look up and see Tarik perfectly. He was handsome and strong, Thirteen couldn't believe the blessings the gods had rained down on her. Out of habit, she traced the Eye on her wrist, a small way to know that she was thinking about the gods she had believed in for a time. Now, she knew they weren't real, but they all still held great meaning for her, and for that she still thanked them at times.
"Come sit and we can talk, or just be close if you do not wish to talk," the Lycaness said invitingly. It was difficult for her, but also easy, to not pull him down and begin kissing him. For hundreds of years, Thirteen had gone through too many lovers to count. To her, though, she saw that Tarik was not just a lover, so she was a little unsure of how to act, but it also seemed to make it easier to be around him; there was no pressure, only Azetipin.

Darin knew exactly what she was thinking when she spoke. It made him smile and even though he looked around, when she asked him if he would sit, he simply put on a grin before crossing his legs and falling down to the grass with a soft thud. He smiled and then shifted so that he was closer to her, placing an arm around her. He looked up at the sky and sighed softly, rather contently.
"Alright.. I guess happy memories of the past can be a topic. hehe.. I still remember the night I had gone to your mother and asked her if she thought I should tell you that I liked you. She told me I should and that I would surprised with the result.. but I guess I never got the courage to even remotely confront you", he said with a chuckle.

Thirteen was rather surprised by what Tarik told her. "You... you spoke of it to my mother?" She asked, still slightly shocked by the information. "Mother never told me this... she always encouraged me to speak with you... but I always got so nervous that I would end up not speaking, or I would avoid you when you came by. I just... I was so used to every man that I wanted to want me in return, but I was very afraid you would not want me."
She shrugged and looked away, feeling like a complete fool. Thirteen felt the regular anger welling up inside her; it was a feeling she was used to, and knew she was shaking because of her emotions; it was normal for the Lycaness to get angry quickly, so it was hard for her to keep the emotions from exploding, but she was able to do so. Laying on her back to look up at the night sky, Thirteen tried to block her anger and focus on the good that was right in front of her.

He nodded and as if to read her mind, he moved and pulled her closer before gently nipping her ear. He brought her face to look at him and he gently kissed her lips.
"You are not a fool. You shouldn't be angry either..It doesn't matter now.. even if its like your wonderful mother to steer us to each other and we were too scared to listen. If she could see us now, I'm sure she'd say, "Finally! I was waiting for this moment" with a smile", he said with a smile.
He shifted and then laid down next to her, laying on his back with a hand on his stomach as he looked up at the stars as well.
