I don't know who you are, but somehow your breaking my heart. And I don't know where you are, but like a drug lift my up to the stars.
Nauseating and repugnant, the trepidative lyrics blasted the eardrums of the vampire whom sat so silently at the corner of the bar. All around him, the booths and barstools remained vacant as a result of his own actions. Less than five minutes ago, he had approached the Nightclub and forcefully requested that it be emptied. Icy cursed blood still dotted the ebony and ivory tiles, lingering from the owners who had taken slightly longer to do as he had asked.
"Hrm," the male sighed deeply, pushing his palms against the counter-top and getting to his feet. Wandering around the staff-side of the bar, he poured himself a hefty glass of a sangria-like liquid. He then crouched down, searching almost desperately through the cupboards and stacked bottle to find a small crimson vial from which he emptied the entire contents into his glass before he stood again.
It didn't matter to him if a customer had reported his enterance, not to mention his taking of the club. If it got to the court, it got to the court. They wouldn't do anything he coldn't take care of himself. Besides, it had been such a long time since he had been within range of the court's radar and he'd promised only to return when they needed him most... Surely, their insignificant minds would be frantically trying to find the reason of his arrival.
Lounging back into his seat, Leonardo ran a vibrantly pale hand through his ashen-tendrils; a small smirk photographed perfectly against his features. "And I thought sister would be happy to see me again," he growled in a light chuckle, gently sipping his drink as he gazed stoically out across the empty tables.

The talk had reached her as she walked towards the Vampire bar that someone had cleared the entire place out. She didn't care; she was a Vampire, she wanted to go to the bar. So she would. On this night, Corvidae was wearing a black dress made mostly of silk, with a split in the skirt which revealed a layer of blood red silk. The bodice was tight and corsetted, accenting her narrow waist and making her look devistatingly beautiful. The small sleeves were off the shoulder, and the bodice was traced with red stitchings of small flowers.
She could hear the music from inside the bar and sense a mind inside, but she didn't want to communicate with it. She wondered who it was... who was this Leonardo that people had been speaking of? Corvi had heard his name whispered in the Court a few times, but she had never heard mention of him before a few nights ago. His return? What did it mean? Corvi was almost sure that this was something of his doing, clearing out the bar, so it made her more eager to go since she so badly wanted to meet him.
Taking a deep breath (to allow all the smells around her to be justified), Corvi opened the door of the bar. The faint light of the moon reflected off her flawless pale skin. Eyes adjusting to the minimal light in the bar, she took a single step in, her foot barely making a sound at all against the wood for she was so graceful. Corvidae cleared her throat when she saw a Vampire taking a drink out of a bottle. His words had fallen on her ears... and Covi wondered who in the world had him as a brother.

Enjoying the sense of loneliness that hung about the place, Leo lifted his feet and crossed his ankles over the counter-top. He'd missed being around alright, and he was overwhelmed to be back, but he couldn't hide from the eyes he knew were trying to keep a tag on his every move. If the court really knew he was back, if they knew where to find him... well, a little tango did nothing on a vampires heart.
Growling with a moody pout, he jutted his bottom lip slightly in annoyance as the record stuck in it's play. He tossed his glass over at the jukebox with some force, sneering slightly before dragging his gaze back to the desk before him; the tune quietly starting up in a low chord as though hurt by his attack.
Crystaline eyes darted towards the doorway as it opened, the breath catching painfully in his throat. Surely she'd not... the young vampire's thoughts trailed, his gaze never leaving the dainty femme stood just inside. But she fit the description so perfectly. All the whispers, all the cooings of the younger bretheren... No, he knew exactly who this pretty bite was.
"The bar's closed," he reminded with a small smirk - nodding back towards the doorway for her to leave.

Corvidae sneered when he told her the bar was closed and took another step in. She slammed the door with a bit of force as her eyes twinkled, challenging him to throw her out. She was thirsty, so she went behind the counter, moving as if she had done this a hunded times over, and pulled out a wine bottle filled with the blood of young men. It smelled wonderful and she hoped the smell would taunt this Vampire they all called Leo.
Pouring a wine glass, Covi held the cup in her hand very gently, not wanting to break it. Her dress was too pretty to be spilled on. Normally, she wore light colors, but she felt in a darker mood this night and wanted to wear a dark, beautiful dress. So she did. "Do you truly believe you own the place?" She inquired, a lacing of annoyance in her voice. She wasn't scared of him at all. The glass thrown against the jukebox-- old news, he wasn't the first to do that. In fact, he seemed as if he had been thinking when she had interrupted him.
He seemed... lonely, or frustrated. But not overly mean. Either way, though, Corvi didn't care what he told her. She would do what she wanted, for she had just as much right to the bar as the next Vampire. She enjoyed it here, for she could come and be around Vampires not a part of the Court, but still loyal to it. They seemed to enjoy her presence. She always hoped to find the perfect gentleman here one night, ready to sweep her off her feet. Unfortunately, she was still on the ground, no one to woo her heart.

Growling slightly as she slammed the door, Leo swung his legs down and rose to his feet; walking around to rest his folded elbows against the customer-side of the counter as he leant gentle against them. He inhaled deeply, letting a small, serene, moan of longing escape from his thin cerise lips as he watched her pour herself a glass.
"No," he responded simply, turning over to rest his back against the wooden surface in a non-chalant way as he ran a pale hand through his ebony locks. "I believe I could own the place, which is why there was no hesitation in vacancies," he smirked slightly, letting his gaze stray towards her once more.
She really was beautiful. Much moreso than the small whispers and giggling of the giddy street-vampires he had passed throughout the years. It shocked him inwardly (rather he hoped it didn't show on his facial expression) that someone he could have considered family was so tormenting in the way she appealed. Then again, if Rayne was off of her high perch - there wouldn't be this problem.

"Excercising power in such a way is disgusting," Corvi said, truly disturbed by this Vampire's attitude. "This bar is for all Vampires, powerful or newborn." The sneer on her face would have been unattractive on another, but not on Corvidae. Taking a sip from the glass, she licked her lips slowly, tasting the now-cooled blood in all its splendor. She heard the groan of longing escape his lips and Corvi found herself smirking a little.
Glancing up from her side of the counter, Corvi met the Vampire's eyes and saw something else there, something she didn't understand fully. "What is your name?" She inquired, trying to figure out what it was. He seemed to be thinking about a great many things, but Corvi was fully focused on her immediate environment. The smooth wood of the counter as she brushed it with her arm. The cool surface of the wine glass, though she felt a microscopic bump in the glass that was slightly bothersome to her.
The cool feeling eminating from the body near her, and the musky smell of his very existence. He smelled... fairly pleasant to her. Not that smelling nice meant much; no, this Vampire was much to haughty for her. Without knowing it, though, Corvidae was rather haughty herself. It showed in the way she sat, the angle of her neck and the slight tilt of her head, as if she were looknig down on a person when she spoke to them.

"Perhaps... Maybe it just separates the cowards from those who truely feel for their lives," he sighed in a lofty manner, shrugging as he pouted a little in thought. "I wouldn't have stopped them from coming back, I'd be proud that they still held some honor," he smirked, gazing towards the doorway as though expecting someone else to walk through.
"What is your name?"
Oh, now then, did he give her his real name? Or the one he had adopted over the years? He suposed, if she was this femme he had heard of; it would be much more fun to give her his true identity. "My name..." he repeated softly in an esper-like fashion, "...is Leonardo Misericordia.'
A sly smirk crossed his features as he watched her closely, dark waves falling over his crystal-blue eyes and marring his vision. "You don't need to introduce yourself, Corvidae," he whispered in a downy tone, admiring her slightly with a small grin.

Corvi's eyes opened wide in surprise for a second before narrowing. "You're... Rayne's brother?" She asked, not trying to hide the surprise she knew was evident on her face. "But I thought..." She shook her head and began to back up, leaving the glass of blood behind. "Why did you come here? If Rayne never speaks of you, then you must be banished. Why are you here?"
The young Vampiress felt a bit distressed, but also angry. Angry at who, though? Herself, for coming here? Leonardo, for being where he shouldn't be? Or her beloved Rayne, for not telling her of this sibling? He looked like her, now that Corvi allowed herself to think it. It was eerie, though, that she was here alone with him. She didn't want trouble, just a bit of fun. But if he really was in exile, that meant he would be bitter... and Corvi knew she was the perfect target to get a stab at Rayne.
Thinking of Rayne, Covi bit her lip and wondered what she would think. Oh, the foolish daugther Corvi was! Staying at the edge of the bar, a few feet from Leo, Corvidae stopped. She didn't want to run; what she wanted was her questions to be answered... but would he answer them, or just kill her?

A coy smirk made it's way across his delicate features at the surprise obvious on her expression. He reaction was... expected, to say the least. "Oh, does she not? Such a wonderful sister she is," he sighed loftily, pushing back a strand of dark hair from infront of his almost whie irises. "But I am, yes..."
Humming slightly to himself in a content exhale, Leo watched as she backed away - his gaze trailing towards the glass she had left lingering nearby. Playing with the scarlet neckerchief around his throat, the exiled vampire let his coy smile follow the young vampiress. He wasn't in a particularly unpleasant mood, for once, instead he was quite happy to sit around by himself; no feeding, no fighting.
Obviously he wasn't going to be able to do that tonight.
"Have they told you nothing? Do they not think you can be trusted, Miss Corvidae? Shouldn't you have been told of someone like me..." he let his words sink in, his tone feathery and light. If he could break her trust with the court, maybe then she would join him. Maybe he wouldn't be alone anymore.
A stupid thought.

Shaking her head, Corvidae tried to consider Leo's words. "No," she replied sternly. "They trust me, otherwise I wouldn't be out on my own." Her words were true and she hoped that Leo would believe them... especially since the words had also been a statement to herself. He didn't seem so unsafe, so Corvi stayed where she was; yes, she was still a bit farther away, but she didn't feel unsafe anymore.
"My mother knows me well and allows me to do as I please." The statement was stronger than her last, for she took strength from knowing that Rayne was the only mother who ever cared for her. She knew Rayne would always take care of her, no matter what. "Don't you question what the Court decides to tell me or not to tell me." She glowered at Leonardo, her scole cruel but still nothing terrifying.
Corvidae put a few blocks up in her mind, strong and true, so that Leo would not be able to read the doubt in her mind. These feelings did not show on her face as the surprise had. As she hid her own mind, Corvi attempted to figure out what those emotions on Leo's face meant. It was confusing to her, but she tried to probe carefully so she would not disturb him so much that he would wonder what was going on. Yes, it was common among Vampires to dig a little for information, so Covi didn't feel bad for finding the information she was looking for.

Narrowing his gaze, Leo began toying with the stem of the glass she had discarded; tempted sorely to drain the scarlet liquid and savour it's sweet flavour. It hadn't been too long since he had fed last, but German guards were tiring to drain and he was becoming rather bored with the easy catches. He needed a chase, or simply just some life-fluid with a varied flavour.
"Oh, that's right, you're her daughter," he sneered, his lips twisting in a somewhat attractive way, "Welcome to the family... but no, I know fully well that they'd try to hide my very exsistance."
He left his mind open, of course. He never thought about the simple things like that - he had no reason too. "I really don't see why, though. It's not as if I did anything particularly drastic, they should be proud of me. My reign would have been perfect, they were fully prepared to hand me the throne."

Corvidae was officially confused. She could feel his bitterness and his frustration and longing for the blood, and other feelings were pushed aside. She was frustrated. He was supposed to reign? Corvidae was so confused, trying to figure out why he had not been made the next Count... what had happened to make him not be so? Her desire to ask was strong, but Corvi didn't want to at the same time, for she was afraid of the answer.
Taking a step forward again, Covi snatched the glass quickly and without spilling, taking another nice-sized swig. "Bitter, are we?" She asked instead of her other question. The blood tasted fantastic and a small trail escaped, sliding down her chin for just a moment before she caught it with a perfectly manicured hand. Licking her finger, she grinned slightly, wondering if a bit of flirtation could pull them away from the subject at hand.
It was much to difficult for the Vampiress to think of her mother being anything but perfect. She would talk to Rayne about it later, but now Covi just wanted to get it off her mind altogether.

Growling almost harshly as she snatched up the blood, Leo let his hand clasp silently around the empty space of which the glass had previous occupied.
She really had no idea. It seemed slightly fetched of the court to bipass his exsistance almost completely. Though, he could understand their desire to ignore his presence. Oh, they were fools. They'd learn not to forget his name in history, and they'd learn, once and for all, not to wipe the slate clean of his history.
They'd remember him, alright, he'd make damn sure of that.
"I like to think of it as simply playing on revenge," he smirked, raising an eyebrow as she licked her finger clean of the crimson fluid and gently pushing away from the counter and moving a step or two towards her. "I simply find it hard to believe that she wouldn't have trusted a girl as smart, and as beautiful as yourself, Corvidae."

"Rayne trusts me implicitly, you fool," Corvi snapped, getting annoyed with the things he was accusing her dearest Rayne of. "Don't speak of her like that." This man was ridiculous. Covi stood her ground, though, as he moved closer. If her heart could beat, it would have been racing, but Corvidae found herself surprisingly emotionless.
He was nothing in a man she wanted, since there was so much bitterness, anger and strife in him; Corvi wanted someone who would love implicitly and unconditionally. No one understood her as Rayne did, and she was becoming sure no one ever would. These thoughts, though, were much too negative, so she tried to think of more positive things.
Like the blood of handsome young men-- the kind she would have loved to have adore her-- and the blood of the beautiful young women, so much like the ones she used to envy. "What do you want from me, now that you have me here, Leonardo? I meant you no harm, but it seems you have other motives." So far, Corvi felt no need to transport her body to another location, as Vampires were able to do, but she was always ready. Her mind stayed focused on that, and on keeping her breathing even.
