....is my friend.
The wind whistles through the trees and surrounding hills, carrying the chill of the the coming seasons. A Buddhist monastery sat silently atop a plateau in the distance. The scene from just below the clouds, turned blood red by the the setting sun, was wonderful. but as beautiful as this place was the peace would probably end up interrupted.
A figure in the sky above the monastery banked left and began to lower. towards the ancient place of peace and worship. A demon, that looked like no more than a human with skin and hair as pale as the moon and eyes as red as the late day sky Glided effortlessly on outstretched wings.
He had been been listening to rumors and hoped what he learned was true. That the demon hunters he had been following had made there way here to china. Even though he was a demon he sought to rid the world of his kind. A task doomed to failure but no less important to him. However he knew the danger that the two that where training here represented. If he crossed paths with them with out them first knowing him he would probably end up killed.. He couldn't kill demons if he was dead.
He landed smoothly on the road up to the great structure. He could have travel here through the world of the dead but doing that would be like shooting a warning flare into the sky to any one that could sense demons. He Vanished his wings and did his best to cover his aura. With the wave of his hand his clothing changed from the black attire he normally wore to the orange white robes of the monks that normally lived here. He would leave the hair, he didn't need to look like local pilgrim to the monastery. Now in his Monk's disguise he walked into the monastery, unsure of who he would meet.
(I'm hoping for mikey to join but cloud can too.)

Mikaela was indeed where she had been rumored, but how word had gotten out was beyond her. Hunters kept things secret, very hush hush, and they had done their best to stay away from people.
She was sitting up high, meditating on one of the rafters, her weapons laid carefully next to her. It was difficult to meditate and keep alert enough to spring at any moment at the same time; one was about relaxation, the other all about being tense. Mikaela had found a happy middle ground, though. She was soundless, her legs crossed in the lotus position with her black boots slouching just to mid-calf over her black leggings. The black cinch she wore over her deep burgundy v-neck top was no pain with her practiced breathing, either. Her amber eyes snapped open when the new arrival entered the monastery.
"Odd.." Her voice echoed. She already snatched up all her weaponry and climbed even higher, invisible to the new trespasser. "I didn't think demons could walk onto sacred ground..." A mirrored knife blade shot through the air, hidden in her long flowing sleeves, a silent killer, aimed and ready for the visitor.

Malachy's eyes picked up the movement first, from the way she had moved she was trying to catch him by surprise so he was read. He waited till her the steel blade leave her hand and begin sailing through the air. He moved to the side watched the knife fly past and lodge itself into a wooden beam on the structure of the great building. So she could sense him lucky for her he wasn't looking for a fight. "You also think all demons are evil. Tell me, are all human's evil child?" He asked turning to face her.

Mikaela didn't miss a beat; she knew he'd catch her sluggish movement. But then, she disappeared without a trace. She reappeared behind him and, in the next quarter second, slammed him against the beam he'd jumped away from to dodge the blade. She quickly and expertly chained him there and stuck blades around his arms and legs, outlining them so he couldn't move.
"Not exactly," She hissed in her velvety voice as she finished, the total time being maybe four seconds for it all. Her master had trained her well. Mikaela's amber eyes scrutinized the demon. "How did you think you could possibly disguise yourself? Idiot... What do you want here?" She leaned forward and yanked a blade from her thigh holster, holding it tight and close to the demon's neck, but thinking better of it. She kept the blade at the demon's neck but yanked the sawed-off shotgun from her back and pointed it, also, underneath the demon's chin with a smile.
"And don't try moving, you'll only die that much quicker."

Malachy didn't even struggle, didn't fight back, this young huntress wasn't his enemy. She threatened him not to move, he didn't have to. He had been a sorcerer once upon a time and as a demon his connection with black magic was all the more powerful. He had been a necromancer, and he wondered just how many monks where buried in the catacombs under the mausoleum. Nio, fighting back would only give her leverage he decided simply tell the truth.
"I already found one of two people I was looking for. and if I wanted that person dead she would already be speaking to Charon about passage across the Styx." He said "The enemy of my enemy is my friend. You need not fear me I have no reason to fight you, unless you want to fight. I came here disguised for two reasons. One was to test whether you or your absent associate where any good at detecting me, the other was that if you weren't i hoped to gain your trust before revealing myself. I have hoped not to end up dead."

"So you've been looking for us. Why?" Mikaela slammed her forearm into the demon's chest, gripped his collar, and slammed him into the beam again. She listened intently, her amber eyes narrowing and sensing for other demons. So far, there were none. He mentioned that she would be dead had he wished it, and Mikaela let out a low, rumbling growl. Arrogance in ones abilities usually led to a quick death.
Mikaela sneered at the creature before leaning in close, finger on the trigger and knife getting closer to his skin. "Well, demon, you can't hide and you've already revealed yourself. What do you want?" She hissed the last words in a whisper, her velvet voice rumbling just the slightest. What did he mean the enemy of his enemy was his friend? Was he some psychotic demon? She wondered where Cloud was, and why he wasn't back already. If this demon h ad done something to him... There would be nothing in his power he could do to deflect her wrath. She would take him down with her if he tried..

Malachy rolled his eyes. he didn't know where the other human was and part of him didn't care all that much one seemed to be enough. "I am an enemy of your enemy. I just wanted to talk with you and your friend, where ever he is. I hoped to form an alliance, not to start a fight or threaten either of yo,and before you call me a liar, slit my throat, and blow my head to oblivion. I think it would be in both our interests to at least let me speak my piece." He asked hopeful to at least get a word in. what she was threatening him with might not actually kill him it took a little extra to kill a creature as curse with immortality as himself. But he like this head he had kept it on one piece and attached for at least 4 centuries now he hoped to keep his personal record. plus having his head blown off would really really hurt,.

"Form an alliance... with a demon?"
The hunter's short laugh echoed around the monasteries restless walls, the blonds’ slim silhouette passed infront of the direct sunlight – his shadow cast over the two already within its realm. Back from his explorations around the southern side of the monastery, Cloud walked steadily towards the two – a firm frown fixed on his expression. His laugh hadn’t been cheerful, of humour, nor of snide anger, simply of his own disbelief in the words. Face the facts, the hunter and the demon did not get on well.
“Lay off, Antony,” he spoke firmly, his shaded eyes still glaring directly at those red irises. Still, as he walked up to draw level with his associate, the young male rose a thin eyebrow – his gloved hand reaching over his shoulder to draw the blade that remained holstered at his back. The smooth silver-steel combination shimmered almost painfully to the ear as he drew it from its home, move swiftly so that the tip was barely an inch from the Demon’s lips.
“Speak demon, but first, who told you we were here,” Cloud growled coldly, not once faultering his gaze.

Malachy relaxed and lifted his hand to rub his neck. " he sighed and was about to start when he suddenly had the silver alloyed blade of the other hunter in his face. Really, was it necessary to point sharp objects at him constantly it wasn't like he was giving off any evil aura's dark aura's not evil ones. And the human with the sword was tainted, something was wrong with the make up of his soul there was a contamination of some sort. Maybe he could relate.
"My name is Malachy,I was not born in to existence as a demon i was born human. Long story short I was a Necromancer searching for immortality and power, and I got what I wanted." He gave Cloud an odd look as if he could see into the Hunters tainted soul. "I vowed to never let something like that happen again. I've hunted demons since I was changed into what I am. I've had to be slow about it took keep the bounty on my head low enough to stay alive."
The he smiled. slyly. "and you should know my informants for one sired you and th other gave birth to you." He was looking at Cloud. both his parents where dead and Malachy had simply asked their spirit he hoped that this news would buy him some leverage

Mikaela did as told and let up, but kept her hand at her thigh and her shotgun in her hand. Her hard topaz eyes lingered on the demon's features. She listened to his story, trying to weed out fact from fiction, and decided he was very possibly telling the truth.
The demon named Malachy paused, then, and gave an unnerving smile to Cloud that Mikaela did not like. As a necromancer, he could speak to the dead...including, apparently, Cloud's dead family.
"Why did you bother, you should have left them out of this!" Mikaela growled, practically screamed, at the self-made demon. "And so, what, you want to atone for your sins by killing other demons? You were bad before, greedy. Why should we think you've changed at all?" Mikaela's beautiful features twisted slightly as a low, rumbling growl bubbled in her throat. She didn't trust this Malachy at all.

A dark eyebrow raised as the demon-creature began to explain his story, as the Hunter kept a steady hand on his grip - the blade never wavering from where it was poised just in line with the others chin.
His story was almost one Cloud felt he had to draw with. But this man had willingly chosen life as an eternal beast - for that, the blond would not be so patient with him. In the end, he was no longer human, but he had become a threat. Turning his head down slightly at the odd glance he was shot, the young male adjusted his glasses, ensuring they covered his eyes completely.
"And you should know my informants - for one sired you and the other gace birth to you..."
Cloud's muscles tensed, his hand faultering slightly as his sword lowered a few inches from the small movement. A necromancer... I-It's possible, his thoughts trailed as he caught the sly grin aimed for his sight. He was hesitant, yes, perhaps more than he should have been - but he had been unprepared for such news. Shaded eyes lowered to the flooring as golden spikes lightly fell as the Hunter dropped his head in shame, in confusion.
Times like these were the ones he felt like he needed that extra body around, Mikaela at least would be able to keep her mind focused. "Why did you not just go to the grounds?" he pondered quietly, his question sounding like it was more directed at his own thoughts that the demon before him. "Why us?"

Malachy sighed and glanced back over at the girl. "Yes I was greedy, every human has comitted that sin at one time or another and i took it too far. I was blinded by greed. I Didn't know the spell would take my soul, I only knew it would give me power and everlasting life. Which is what I wanted, I'm a necromancer, I know what a soul is worth, so when i suddenly realized mine was be stolen I wasn't exactly happy."
He paused a moment. looked at Cloud, who was taking the news how Malachy had hoped he would. "There is no atonement for me but I have free will and as such have chosen how to live out my cursed immortality."
He then heard Cloud ask a question with , to him, an obvious. "Well there are only two of you and who knows how many of them..." He hesitated, "And your parents told me willingly where to find you. They seemed... worried." What Parent wouldn't be worried about the Son's soul. But Mal didn't know the reason for their worry but now he had a suspicion.

Why us was right. Why us was running through Mikaela's head just as Cloud spoke it. Why us would bother her until she got an actual answer. "What, then, so you tracked us because you thought your odds of survival would be better..?" Mikaela kept her weapons level, noticing, though, that Cloud's had inched down at the mention of his parents.
"Low blow, demon.." Mikaela's amber eyes gleamed and she leaned forward heavily onto Malachy, her blade pressing against his skin, but not drawing blood. She had exact, precise control with her weapons. She moved the shotgun to Malachy's chest, right over the demon's beating heart. She listened carefully to his pulse, could tell the temperature of his blood, and waited for any possible change. "Don't bring up his parents again, or I will kill you. I have no problem with that.."
As if to prove her point, Mikaela readied her shotgun and made the tiniest mark against the demon's neck with the slightest, feathery pressure. This demon was greedy, and agreed there was no atonement. Then why did he say he wanted to fight his kind? He deserved what he got, losing his soul because of his greed and power lust.
"So then what, you want to follow us around, shadow us? How can we even trust what you say is true, or that you won't turn on us? I know I'd be on edge every day with a demon following me.." Mikaela's eyes narrowed and she glanced at Cloud. She didn't like how he looked; hurt, vulnerable. But she didn't dare move a hand to comfort him, she couldn't with a demon in front of her weapons. She'd have to mend this a bit later...

Malachy had learned patience in his 700 year of life, and Mikaela was waring him down. "Ah I made a mistake and deserve what i got I agree with that. But what's done is done. It was done 700 years ago what would you have done? Sat there and just waited for eternity to pass you by?" He said anger only just now touching his voice. "What would you rather me do Be the vicious stereotypical beast from hell, do the same to others that was done to me all because I made a mistake?"
"Why do you hunt demons? Is it because you simply don't like them because they are different, or because they hurt people and you want to stop prevent it. You don't have to trust me. If you did I'd have no reason to come to you, because you'd be an idiot to have trusted a demon." There was an odd popping, like ice cracking in warm water. Mal looked down and saw he was letting the aura slip/ and the rim of Mikaela's gun barrel was beginning to rust. He was getting himself too worked up. He took a deep breath. "If you truly believe that there is no hope. That a single mistake can make all the rest of life void of any meaning, that there can be no profit for you to let me live then finish it. Slit my throat, I will not bother you again." His voice was dead serious almost daring her to do it.

"Well there are only two of you and who knows how many of them...And your parents told me willingly where to find you. They seemed... worried."
Swallowing a painful breath, Cloud dropped his sword tip from the demon - the deadly edge shattering a harsh 'clink' against the wooden flooring. They were worried about him? What was he suposed to do? What did they want him to do? Give up and die? Find some cure? The only cure he had ever possibly come close to was within the heart of a young Shapeshifter. What did they expect him to do?
Outstretching a hand and throwing it infront of his student, the blond inhaled deeply, pushing down her weapons as he lifted his gaze back up to meet those burning scarlet orbs. His own orbs, shone almost vividly, a faint glow of aqua shwoing beneath his dark shades. "We fight for our own reasons, we hunt for the threats to humanity. No trust would ever be bestowed upon a demon, not now, not ever, you'd do well not to think you were anything special," he growled, anger pulsing through his saddenned veins.
One single mistake...
The words echoed around the young Hunter's mind as his eyes scolded the demon. He wanted to tear away his ligaments, take a dagger to his soft flesh and feel the blood ooze slowly over his life-taking hands. But that one mistake drilled in the back of his mind. To that he could relate. To that, he felt likewise. To that, he didn't know what to do.
"My parents had no reason to worry," he lied confidently, "You on the other hand would do better to leave now."
